He began where so many great stories do — far from the spotlight, in the close streets of Isolo, Lagos. What he carried was not connection or fortune, but conviction: that the stories of his people deserved to be told with the full weight of cinema.
Year by year, role by role, he became the men he played — Ayinla the singer, Gbotija the warrior, Lisabi the legend. Each one a deeper return to Yoruba memory, each one watched now by the world. With Adebimpe, he built AL Notions to carry that work forward, on his own terms.
